On the occasion of the Photokina, Hahnemühle FineArt will relaunch the website ‘myartregistry.com', offering photographers and artists the opportunity to document the genuineness of their works of art. "myartregistry.com represents the ideal cost-free addition to our Certificate of Authenticity allowing artists to prove the genuineness of their works," says Stefan Neumann, head of the Hahnemühle Technical Support Team. "By dint of the publication of an artist's certified works in the data base, every potential customer has got the chance of easily attaining certainty when it comes to the respective picture's origin." The system works really easily: holograms featuring a serial number on the work of art and a describing certificate provide certainty about the characteristics and the origin of works such as a print. The artist registers the work under the serial number at myartregistry.com. The data base only accepts the numbers assigned and every single number just once. Illegally published pirate copies can be identified quickly and so, the protection against forgery is increased by publicity and transparency. A demonstrative presentation can be seen at the Hahnemühle booth in hall 6.1, C 21, throughout the day. |
