2012 Hahnemühle Calendar competition is now open
Abstract watercolour paintings are welcome
| Since 2007, Hahnemühle FineArt has been encouraging ambitious artists to enter their paintings for our calendar contest. Today, artists from all around the world use Hahnemühle paper with their paintbrushes and colours. Inspired by last year's entries, the Hahnemühle FineArt team has now announced the theme for the 2012 calendar competition: Watercolour abstract. "For many participants of our contest, watercolour painting is not just a lovely landscape, splendid flowers or abundant still lives. Paintings of forms, colours, and fantasy are desired. We are pleased to have this young and modern theme for the new Hahnemühle Calendar 2012", says spokeswoman Bettina Scheerbarth. The Hahnemühle Calendar is a real rarity: a collection of 12 paintings, one for each month, in a limited edition of only 2.000 calendars that are not for sale, but are distributed to friends of Hahnemühle all around the world. "We have many enquiries regarding our contests. It is a lot of fun to have such close contact with our customers", says Yvonne Häfner, who takes care of this complex project every year. The detailed entry conditions and the successful paintings of last years' contestants can be found on our website under the heading 'Creative & Informative'. |
