London, Paris, and New York will be just some of the tour locations. The tour will begin in Sydney on 10th February, and then travel to Beijing, Berlin and Hong Kong - with photokina in Cologne representing a special highlight where the Hahnemühle Anniversary Photo Award winning images will be exhibited from 21st to 26th September, 2010. To commemorate its 425th anniversary, Hahnemühle created the Anniversary Photo Award with the theme ‘For Originals'. Nearly 1,800 participants from 45 countries sent in more than 7,100 pictures. An international expert jury then selected 43 works for the Hahnemühle Anniversary Collection.
The Red Rooster is the striking Hahnemühle trademark. While the Green Rooster stands for our environmental activities. With an annual production of a maximum of 3,000 tons of paper, Hahnemühle rather represents a workshop than a true factory. Nonetheless, our ‘Green Rooster’ initiative promotes environmentalism and sustainability. We produce all our papers by dint of renewable energy sources and have donated more than €70,000 for environment-protection projects.
From 30th January to 2nd February, Hahnemühle will present its digital Fine Art papers - as well as its traditional painting and drawing papers - in hall 4.2 on stand E10. In the area digital imaging, the ‘green' papers made of renewable resources - Bamboo and Sugar Cane - will be showcased. At the same time, we will show samples of the new Baryta FB and the Photo Rag 500 gsm. Particularly interesting for the crossers between classic painting and digital reproduction: nine papers of the Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Collection now are available as 10-sheet packages in the standard paper size A4 - ideal for art or photo reproductions.
The Painter-Photographer Artist duo Redman-Holmes are staging a collaborative exhibition in the heart of London at Pall Mall's ‘La Galleria'. Hahnemühle are proud to be sponsoring the event and the artists have specifically chosen Hahnemuehle Photo Rag 308 to ensure high quality archival artworks. Having just received a prestigious commission to design a postage stamp for the 2012 Olympic Games taking part in London, David Holmes has selected fellow artists who have previously been commissioned to design postage stamps for Royal Mail, determining the extremely high standard of the exhibition.
