I just received 5 sample sheets of this paper and the color portrait I printed looks like it's almost 3 dimensional! The subjects eyes seem to pop out at you. The black isn't dry, however, even after 30 hours so I'm hoping it's just because I used the wrong ICC profile for this paper. I do love the sheen on the photo, almost iridescent at certain angles but not looking at it straight on. I'm hoping to use this for the professional portraits I'm doing and that the customers will be as 'WOW'd" as I am with it. - Terwelp, Georg, Wesel, D

Photo Rag Pearl is the most professional, archival stock available in comparison to Exhibition Fiber, Gold Fiber Silk or Gloss FB. The sharpness, shadow / highlight detail, black density, brightness and material quality are perceptually and / or technically as good or better than the competition. What really pushes this paper above it's class though is that performance is provided without using optical brighteners; offering far greater color stability over competing papers. Competitors can fight all year for the moment's highest dmax rating but what does it matter if the discrepancies are imperceptible, your colors shift and galleries turn their back to you? When's the last time you saw a customer rating system on a pigment paper manufacturer's website? Hahnemuhles confidence and openness is reason enough to try this fine stock. While the gloss of this paper is consistent with competitors' and today's trends, it would seem to me a more sophisticated, future version should have half the amount. Easier said than done, eh? - Mike Rassilier, Chicago IL, USA

Very good paper for my B&W prints, with a high dynamic range and a good sharpness in shadows and highlights. I didn't use it yet for color prints, but i will.
