The Hahnemuehle booth at this year’s PMA will have six breathtaking images on display on a black back wall. Three of which are color images and three black and white images. The prints are 17x20” and are printed on a variety of genuine fine art papers from the Hahnemuehle Digital FineArt Collection: FineArt Pearl, German Etching, Museum Etching, William Turner and the new Photo Rag® Pearl. These will definitely grab the attention of visitors while they are at the booth. The images on display are the work of well-known photographer Parish Kohanim.
Parish describes “the ‘Red Sphere’ and Ella with her beautiful curves reposing on the red planet soaking up the sun’s rays while conveying a euphoric and tranquil state of mind and mood in a very bold and fiery, red-hot setting.” Passion drives the photographer to produce imagery that is truly unique in that it manifests beauty, grace and intellect.
Parish has been involved with photography for over 25 years. He holds the high honor of being one of the Canon Explorers of Light. This achievement is held by a handful of the world’s top photographers. Parish’s work has been featured in prestigious photography, advertising and design publications. “There’s something beautiful about everyone, whether exterior or interior,” continues Kohanim. “What I love to do is draw out the beauty that is there.”
Parish has printed one of these images on the newest paper, in the Hahnemuehle Digital FineArt Collection, Photo Rag® Pearl 320. Parish writes, “I have printed on many different papers and specially on ‘all’ Hahnemuehle papers. When I saw my very first print on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag® Pearl paper I was amazed to see such ‘full’ tonal range, great highlight and shadow detail. The prints had this amazing PHOTOGRAPHIC quality to them. The B&W prints had a beautiful luminosity, the blacks were rich and velvety while being very neutral in color. The color reproduction on my color images were so, exact and rich. The color prints looked absolutely brilliant and crisp. Photo Rag® Pearl is going to be my top choice from now on.”
