Lumijet, the second product line from Hahnemühle, well-known and appreciated by both professional and semi-professional photographers alike, has been revamped in time for Photokina 2006. In addition to the seven photo papers for professional inkjet printing the product line now includes a complete range for commercial and studio photographers, image providers and the upmarket photographic community. Lumijet papers offer a competitive cost/performance ratio combined with top image quality and very good ageing resistance.
The new Lumijet range comprises FineArt inkjet paper produced on a Fourdrinier machine using the purest spring water and the purest cellulose just like all the other Hahnemühle papers. In contrast to the premium papers of the Hahnemühle Digital Fine Art Collection the Lumijet product line dispenses with cotton linters and mould made papers. The Lumijet range contains four FineArt papers, one each of Photo Glossy, a Photo Pearl paper and a Canvas quality. There is thus a complete media selection available to suit all users. The new range includes the following qualities:

Photo Gloss 255 g/m²
and Masters Canvas 350 g/m².
The inkjet receptive coating on all the qualities ensures prints with an extraordinary level of visual impact and colour intensity demanded by photographers, commercial image and media providers. The Lumijet range is also the ideal medium for graphic designers who use premium and long lasting inkjet papers for proofs, portfolios or art reproductions. Photographers, who have worked with “Photo White 270”, the new Lumijet quality, sum up their experience of the paper: “A beautiful art paper with a lovely feel to it, a high-end paper with a smooth finish.” The Lumijet papers are available in all popular sheet and roll formats and are compatible with pigmented or dye based inks from Epson, Canon and HP.
Another new smart product idea: for small photo prints or presentations 30 photo cards are available in size 10 x 15 in “Photo White 270” quality.
Hahnemühle recommends protecting all FineArt prints with the Lumijet Protective Spray. It seals the surface of the prints against dirt and moisture. The spray also offers UV protection to prevent the inks from fading without significantly altering the appearance of the original beautiful surface.
