New Exhibition Stand
Hahnemühle FineArt, the pioneer in developing and producing digital fine art media will be showcasing its new, larger stand at the Photokina. The 100 sqm large stand, located in Hall 10.1 Stand C020 in Cologne, will be decked out in the typical silver grey colour well-known worldwide from the packaging used for Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Paper.
Pictures by Michael Gilbert, Nick Brandt, Steven Katzman, Jack Cardiff, Andreas Bitesnich, Peter Hönnemann, Hans Buttermilch and many others, printed on our papers from the Digital FineArt Collection, will be on display in a gallery. Other photos will display our Lumijet range of papers.
Museum Etching – a new paper in the Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Collection
The new Hahnemühle Museum Etching quality will be launched in Europe to coincide with Photokina. With a grammage of 350 gsm it is an artist’s board made of 100% cotton linters. The new quality features the typical texture of a copperplate board and due to its surface texture and natural white colour it is the ideal medium for art reproductions and photographs with warm shades or grey nuances. Due to the exclusive use of cotton linters, a fibre difficult to extract from the cotton plant, Museum Etching complies with the high archival standard for age resistance.
Paper Voting
Photokina visitors will be able to vote in a paper election on the the Hahnemühle stand in Hall 10.1 Stand C020. They can choose their favourite paper from a selection of eight different Digital FineArt Papers from the Hahnemühle Collection. A black and white and a coloured image will be printed on each different paper: FineArt Pearl, Torchon, Photo Rag®, Photo Rag® Satin, Photo Rag® Bright White, German Etching, William Turner and Museum Etching.
Each voter can get an idea of the feel of the different surfaces of the genuine artists’ papers. They can also directly compare the large colour gamut, excellent colour saturation and the high black value of the Hahnemühle papers. Each participant in the paper voting will receive an A5 sample pack of the Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Collection. The 50 winners will each receive a pack of the new sought-after Fine Art Pearl in A 3 size.
