Hahnemuehle is known for the well distinguished Filter Papers of highest quality which it has been producing for over 130 years. In the past these papers which have gained worldwide recognition were sold by Schleicher & Schuell all over the world and are used as the standard for laboratory filtration. Hahnemuehle, formerly part of the Schleicher & Schuell group, became independent when S&S was taken-over by Whatman in 2004.
At present our experts continue to develop and to produce filter products made of paper and glass fibre. Hahnemuehle has always possessed the knowledge and skills to develop new sorts of filter papers and to manufacture them according to the market and individual customer needs. Our success is based on standardized test procedures to the highest possible monitoring level and specification safeguard. Our own Quality Control labs extended the standard test methods with their own internal, strict and even more specific methods to meet ever-increasing demands. From checking the incoming raw materials to finished goods; each process is precisely monitored and documented. To meet such a high level of customer satisfaction, we benefit from a comprehensive repertoire of different raw material qualities in cellulose, linters and fibre glass, and produce more than 150 different paper qualities in our plant in Dassel, Germany!
